Apple and sausage naturally go together. Add chive, and you’ve got a standout Surin Farm Gourmet sausage. They’re freezer friendly, so I make them ahead and grab when needed.

Historically it is after the Second World War to the late 1980’s that sausages in the UK had their darkest times. Due to rationing, sausages where pumped full of filler and water with little actual meat. This is where the name ‘banger’ came from. Because the sausages were full of water, when cooked, the steam would make them explode.


Since the late 1980’s British sausage making has had it’s revival. The quality has massively increased and many old recipes are coming back. All our traditional recipes that aren’t our own creation date back to the 1800’s before the dark times. We are once again making some of, if not, the best sausages in the world!


Charcutteriers at Surin Farm Gourmet are making the British Apple Chive Sausage perfectly in accord with historical recipes. Our sausages are made with tasty, succulent Surin Farm pork (and we use a lot of meat in our sausages), combined with delicious apples and seasonings and made using natural casings. Ideal for quick and tasty meals anytime, they can be cooked from frozen. Our richly flavored gourmet sausages will excite your taste buds – delicious for breakfast, brunch or dinner.


Surin Farm Gourmet Apple Chive Sausages are not cured or fermented, they are sold frozen to extend shelf life as we use no preservatives, additives or flavor enhancer such as M.S.G.
